Welcome to the Fairfield University Writing Center: 

The Writing Center provides all University students with the support they need as writers. Students can work directly with a peer tutor at any stage of the writing process, from how to get started to revising a draft. While our tutors are not "editors," they will help students by offering thoughtful feedback that all effective writers need to succeed at the University and beyond.

Alert for Summer 2025: Due to construction in the library, we will offer remote English writing tutoring only. Modern language tutoring is anticipated to resume in Fall 2025.

As a general reminder, please remember that tutors cannot work with students on exams. Students are responsible for making sure that any work they bring to the Writing Center is work that they are allowed to receive feedback on prior to submission. Please clarify with your professor first if you have any questions about their expectations regarding independent work or take-home assignments.

Please try not to miss your appointment. You can cancel your appointments at any time using this scheduling system. Please note that if you accrue two No-Shows during a semester, you will be unable to make additional appointments until the end of that semester or until you schedule a meeting with the Director to discuss reactivating your account.
